Eli Mckown-Dawson is a second-year undergraduate student double majoring in political science and philosophy. In addition to his duties with Torchlight, Eli serves as the treasurer for the FSU Pre-Law Society, the Fundraising Coordinator for FSU Mock Trial, and as a fellow for the FSU Institute of Politics. Additionally, he is a member of the Honors Program, the Legal Scholars Program, and the Research-Intensive Bachelor’s Certificate Program. Eli has obtained experience in electoral politics through his work with fundraising and field strategy firms. He has worked on numerous federal and state-level political campaigns, as well as for multiple PACs. Eli also acquired policy experience through his time working with government relations and consulting firms. He wrote reports on various areas of federal legislation, constructed congressional initiatives, and assisted in analysis of the federal budget.
